With all the things that attract you or that are useful or that
are appreciated remember to say what kind of thing it is, starting
from the smallest things. If you are fond of a jug, say, "I am fond of a jug"; for if it gets broken, you will not be upset. If you kiss your child
or wife, say that you are kissing a human being; for when it dies you
will not be upset.
